Radio presenter and reggae musician, Blakk Rasta has outlined conditions under which he will accept to work with a radio station.
Blakk Rasta who resigned from Accra-based Hitz FM after he was hauled before the Privileges Committee of Parliament for allegedly claiming that about 80% of Parliamentarians smoke ‘wee’ says he will return to radio if he gets the right deal.
“I love radio. The way the fans are clamoring for my return, something will happen if I don’t come back. So I’m coming back strongly. I’m just waiting for the right deal. I’ve spoken with a lot of radio stations but the right deal has not come yet,” he said on Peace FM’s Entertainment Review, Saturday.
Asked what he considers the right deal, Blakk Rasta replied, “It has to do with the right time and money. It has to do with the number of hours. I want three to four hours. Anything short of that is a no for me.”
The ‘Salaga soldier’ intimated that he would want to host a morning show or a drive time show. Blakk Rasta was confident he will secure such a deal. He will not mention media houses which have approached him but promised to deliver exceptionally well should he return to radio.
“Ethically, I will not disclose that… When I return to radio, the kind of fire that has been in me for the past ten months, we will bring it out. New things, power etc,” he said.
According to the outspoken personality, he prefers being in Accra to any other place for now.
“I still have my calling in Accra. When I went to Zimbabwe, I was given two radio stations to man. But still, I think I have to do some more in Accra. So I want to be in Accra and rock for two more years before I think of other things,” he noted.
