Ghanaian rapper Emmanuel Nana Appiah Boateng, known as Kontihene, is warning radio presenters and DJs to stop linking his song “Asesa” to Menzgold and Nana Appiah Mensah.
According to the “Aketesia” hitmaker, he has realized some DJs are using his song “Asesa” to diss Nana Appiah Mensah CEO of Menzgold because they are both called “Nana Appiah” and he mentioned the name in the song.
“You are in this country, you don’t play my music, someone runs away with people’s monies and radio presenters are mischievously playing my song and linking it to NAM1. This is a 19-year-old song and you are now playing it as if it’s a new song when I have new songs. Why do you people want to attach me to fraud? When he was sharing money around, you people didn’t remember that people like me with extraordinary talent even existed. So now that everything is gone down, why are you people associating me with it?”, he told Abeiku Santana on Okay FM.
Kontihene also hinted on sanctioning those who will continue to play “Asesa” and link it to Menzgold.
“Stop playing my old songs and play the new ones. My lawyers will start writing to presenters and radio station managers if they continue playing my old songs. I will sanction anybody who tries to link me with Menzgold and NAM1. Why? Do you want people to attack me?”, he added.
