Award winning Ghanaian actress and philanthropist Emelia Brobbey has asked that reggae and dancehall musician Rexford Kojo Amoah returns to movie production.
The actress in a radio interview with NY DJ on Y102.5FM revealed that although many people did not know the musician was once into movie production, it was only right to state that one of her best movies ever titled Aku Sika was produced by Shatta Rako.
“Aku Sika was produced by Shattarako. It was an old story but I guess we were able to tell it well. He has a good eye for movies and I wish he would come back to the industry to produce more movies”
According to her, the ideas and equipment Shattarako and his team brought on set of each production meant they could help the industry grow.
“When someone comes on set and during the production you realize the kind of ideas and the kind of equipment they bring, you could see these guys could help the industry grow”, she said.
Shattarako is well known for his music and his artistic works as a graphic designer.
