I won’t leave my husband even if he cheats – Omawumi

Nigerian singer Omawumi has said that she won’t leave her husband even if he cheats on her.

She disclosed this actress Mercy Johnson during the episode 4 of her cooking show, “Mercy’s Menu”.

“No, never. I can’t leave because of that one error. It’s not a good way to do these things but you know, I call my husband my partner, it’s a partnership, na two of us na hin dey inside (we are both in the relationship together),” she said after she was asked a hypothetical question of if she would leave if she caught her hubby cheating.

“It’s not feminism, it’s very simple mathematics. I didn’t say it’s equal partnership because my husband is the head of my home and it’s not feminism but when you go and cheat, and you say it’s by mistake, did you fall inside by mistake? But he needs to explain to me, do you want to do it again?” she added.

Omawumi is married to Tosin Yussuf. The couple, who have been legally married since 2015, have two children — an 8-year-old daughter and a 3-year-old son.
