I won't marry a woman who can't cook jollof – Nigerian artiste

The issue of who cooks in a relationship is a delicate one. It has caused a lot of debate in recent years with calls for men to learn how to cook and not make it a sole responsibility of women.

It seems however that Nigerian-American artiste Jidenna attaches a lot of importance to cooking especially Jollof rice – inability of a lady to prepare the special dish reduces the chances of him getting together with her.

In a special cover story for Nigerian Magazine ThisDay Style, he tells the publication: “I don’t think I could be with any woman who did not know how to run a business and cook Jollof Rice.”

He also spoke about his style, his ideal woman, amongst other issues.

The act who is famous for his ‘Classic Man’ song recently toured Nigeria and South Africa.
