I would have been a 'hardened criminal' but for acting - Lilwin

Kumawood star, Kwadwo Nkansah Lilwin has made very shocking revelations about what he would have become but for his decision to go into acting which has now become his cash cow.

According to him, he would have become a hardened criminal just like some his peers who kept discouraging him and laughed off his desire to venture into acting.

“Pastors prayed for me and told me I will be a star but most of my friends kept discouraging me that I won’t succeed when I first went into acting”, he lamented.

“Had it not been because of God, I would have be a criminal by now, Lilwin added.

Lilwin said since he began acting, he has featured in over 300 Ghanaian movies without receiving a dime for his role.

Out of the over 500 movies he been starred, the actor said he received payment for only 200 stating that actors and actresses in the country are not well paid compared to their colleagues in Nollywood.

Recounting his struggles in life, he said he never got everything on a silver platter and had to engage in menial jobs for survival.
