'I would save Rudeboy if he were drowning, that is why we are P-Square' – Mr P

Nigerian singer and dancer Peter Okoye, popularly known as Mr P, has chosen his twin brother, Rudeboy, over Wizkid and Davido in a hypothetical life-or-death situation.

Mr P made the revelation during a question-and-answer session on a livestream with Nigerian content creator Peller.

Peller asked Mr P to choose who he would save if Rudeboy, Wizkid and Davido were all drowning and he had the opportunity to save only one person.

After briefly hesitating, Mr P chose his brother P-Square.

“So you guys really want me to answer that question? I would save Rudeboy. That’s what makes us P-Square,” he said.

His response immediately triggered excitement and surprise from Peller, who later admitted that he was the one who came up with the question, despite initially suggesting that it had come from members of his team.

Mr P’s response has since sparked conversations on social media, with many netizens praising him for putting his brother first despite the pair’s long-running disagreements and public fallout.

Some have described his decision as a display of maturity and genuine brotherly love, noting that despite their differences and recent revelations surrounding their relationship, Mr P still appears to hold a strong bond with Rudeboy.

P-Square enjoyed years of success as one of Africa’s most celebrated music groups before their relationship and partnership became strained, eventually leading to their split.
