Ghanaian highlife singer and songwriter Bisa Kdei has voiced his concerns about the current economic crisis and hardships facing the country.

The 'Odo Carpenter' hitmaker, during an interview on TV3, blamed the situation on the selfishness of leaders and politicians.

According to him, many issues could be resolved if those in power prioritized the well-being of the masses.

"The people at the top, I don’t know if they don’t think about the masses or if there’s something wrong with the economy itself. But for me personally, I think that it’s a one-man chop thing. Because if you really think about the country, there are so many things we could change,” he lamented.

He further urged Ghanaians to vote wisely in the upcoming elections, expressing disappointment in politicians who fail to deliver on their promises.

"Some of the things that I hear from the politicians, it’s just sad. People make promises, but at the end of the day, the delivery becomes a problem. Ghanaians should choose wisely," he advised.

Bisa Kdei's comments come as the nation gears up for its general elections on December 7, 2024.

As the date approaches, political campaigns have intensified, with politicians using different strategies to woo the electorate.

NDC flagbearer and former President John Dramani Mahama will be running against Vice President and NPP flagbearer Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, New Force Movement leader Nana Kwame Bediako, and Movement for Change leader Alan Kyerematen.
