Controversial hiplife artiste Kwame Asare Obeng, known in showbiz as A–Plus has said his songs go through the hands of learned figures for scrutiny before he releases them to the public.

According to him “I have people at the political science department of the University of Ghana who are listening, I have other people listening to it to make sure that when you present the song to the UN Secretary General, he won’t find any fault with it”.

He further indicated that his new album touches on happenings in the world and making sure that the song really affects the world.

A-Plus said there are issues that are controversial in the song like the genocide where the USA and Russia and Croatia disagree on what happened and he wants to make sure that he doesn’t offend too many people.

He said these during an interview on Accra based 3Fm where he also revealed that his latest song would be launched on the same radio station on Monday, April 4, 2016.

Speaking to the host of the show Johnnie Hughes on the ‘Good Friday’ edition of “Sunrise”, A-Plus said his nature as an articulate and outspoken personality sometimes gives the impression that he is an arrogant individual.

He said “I’ve been articulate and forthright since childhood and thus people describe me as being arrogant but overtime they get to know who I truly am”.

The controversial artist took a swipe at Ghanaian movies saying they haven’t gone far and he does not know how to dance azonto simply because it is vogue. A – Plus added that Ghanaian movie directors need to versatile and more creative to ensure that the industry grows better than its current state.
