Did Sarkodie make a fallacy when he appeared on BBC and said he gave birth to Azonto?
After he made this known in an interview with BBC Africa’s Paul Bakibinga, it has engendered lots of controversies in the country as to whether it’s true or not. It became one of the most talked about issues on TVs, radios and social media networks.
Tiffany after Sarkodie’s interview bluntly said on GhOne TV’s E-Talk show with Amanda Jissih that he (Sarkodie) is not the originator of Azonto.
Not only did it end there, the “aboodatoi” hitmaker Gasmilla also added his voice to the matter saying Sarkodie has no audacity to claim ownership of Azonto because it has been in existence for long.
But soul singer, Irene Logan says enough is enough; Ghanaians should give us a break and let Sarkodie be. In her opinion, Sarkodie should be supported in his career rather than arguing about his ‘giving birth to Azonto’ comment. In her Tweets she said, “it's so sad that when an artist starts to rise, all of a sudden some people start to work towards their downfall #TrueTalk”
She added, “He is doing his thing, and his downfall does not guarantee your success.when a person from Gh rises,we all rise with him #stopthehate. Lately, all I've been hearing are people trying to bring sarkodie dwn.whether he created #azonto or not he was key in making it #worldwide”
