Is Ghana Airways funding GIA without knowing it

Part One: Heard in passing at a Ghanaian function in London. Four representatives of either the government or Ghana Airways have been sent to Rome on a mission to negotiate for a DC10. They were given $17,000 as T & T for the week long stay.

Where did that money come from? Are they looking for a plane for Ghana Airways or GIA and if GIA then was the funding from the so called bankrupted Ghana Airways' only money earner - Ground Handling. What of the unpaid, hungry workers who are still working to cater for all flights landing in Accra What is going on - what happened to Ghana, our beloved country.....

Part Two

How much money has Civil Aviation lost with the end of Ghana Airways? How much as Ghana Immigration Service, Ghana Customs and Excise The Ghana Traders Association and The cargo Handling. Why are they not talking or are they afraid of loosing their jobs

Why couldnt the West Coast Route, which was intact have been maintained and what is Ghana in general going to do now that they are relegated to a Gade 2 by the USA.

GIA and Honourable Minister of Transport can never recoup what they have caused to be lost. We had a good thing that had a few problems but what business is never in the red at one time or another. A good shake up with a strategic partner who would have taken control of staff employment would have kept things going. We have killed the goose that laid the golden egg. I rest my case
