Last night in a tense, emotional IDOLS WEST AFRICA RESULTS show, presenter Mike Majic announced the names of the two contestants from group one who have been selected for the IDOLS TOP 10 stage ?Omawumi Megbele and Timi Dakolo!

The talented twosome, who will now head into the next round, quickly won over voting audiences during Sunday night?s IDOLS WEST AFRICA show when they belted out two hit singles from the 90?s.

Omawumi had fans cheering for more with her rendition of Shania Twain?s That Don?t Impress Me Much while Timi?s version of the Roxette single It Must Have Been Love impressed the audiences at Planet One and those watching at home!

The soaring voices and confident stage personalities of both Omawumi and Timi also drew praise from the IDOLS WEST AFRICA judges Dede Mabiaku, Nana Abrewa and Dan Foster who were all positive in their reaction to Sunday?s performances.

Each contestant was told to remain on the stage because that?s where they belong!

But at the end of the day, it was the IDOLS viewing audiences who made their voices heard, voting via SMS and online, to select their favourite two contestants.

And in a vote overseen by the auditing firm of Alexander Forbes, it was Omawumi and Timi, who both auditioned in Calabar, who audiences wanted to see remain in the show.
