Popular social media comedian, Michael Owusu Afriyie, aka Teacher kwadwo, who’s a professional teacher and also a comedian, has stated that combining teaching and comedy is not easy though he is able to make time for both.
In an exclusive interview with www.flexgh.com, the popular comedian explained that he feels so much pressure sometimes, but because of his well calculated schedules for both professions, he is able to manage his time well and he believes it has worked for him. He is however urging everyone with different professions to know how to work with their time so as to benefit in the end.
He added that, social media has improved Ghana’s comedy standard to a different level and it has helped the new talented comedians in the comedy sector of Ghana’s entertainment industry. This he believes, the media has to pay attention to and he is also encouraging every comedian in Ghana to get themselves involved in social media trends.
“When I started getting likes for my funny posts and videos on Facebook and YouTube, I didn’t have any special interest in it. This is because; I was just having fun with my friends and followers on social media. But I didn’t know those humorous posts, on my wall could propel me into the limelight and also bring me financial rewards.
He further said, he is not surprised about the huge followers he has gained through his comic acting on social media. According to him, growing up, people laughed at his jokes and his friends loved to be with him all the time, because he made them happy even if they were sad.
