Dorcas Opoku Darkwa professionally known in showbiz as Abrewa Nana has reacted to comment that some female musicians are unwilling to collaborate with each other.

“The impression in the industry is like the female artistes don’t like collaborating with other female artistes. But I don’t believe so.” Abrewa Nana told KOD on Starr Drive

Abrewa Nana who made her maiden appearance on the Starr Drive told KOD that the issue may be the approach from the interested female artiste.

“Nobody has come to me to say, Big Sis, I want you on this. Eno did ‘Meji wu boy’ and when we did that collaboration I hadn’t even seen Eno before. I did it out of respect because when I heard the tune I liked it. I went to the studio I did it and we met after.”

The dancehall diva added that she as an older female musician is ready to work with the younger female artistes in the industry and would not mind collaborating with anyone who is interested.

“Yes, I’ll love to collaborate. So anybody that comes I will. So far as the product is good, I will. It’s not about the money.” Abrewa Nana said

Abrewa Nana further mentioned colleague female artistes she is interested in working with.

“Personally I would want to feature Efya. I don’t mind a collaboration with Mzvee, she is very talented too. But Efya is my number one.” She stated

The singer, songwriter and dancer has officially announced her comeback to the music industry after her long break.

She stated that she is sticking to her original style of music and has released a new single titled ‘Jah Dey Everywhere’.
