Stacy of Music Music Saturday Nites on TV3 @ 7:00 has seen Music Music lovers glued to their TV screens and people trooping to Studio B for a live musical programme. Music Music has been running for a year now and has been able to satisfy its viewers and audience by showcasing the best musicians in the Ghanaian music industry.
One of the presenters that has been holding the fort down on Music Music and doing so well is Anastasia Manuela Addae aka Stacy, the only lady of the Music Music show. The first thing Ghana Music.Com asked her was where did the popular phrase ?It?s big!? came from? ?The whole Music Music team went for a meeting one day and as we talking it came up, so it was stuck on our lips and we (Bola Ray and I) also decided to introduce it the following Saturday on the show to see the response after we say Music Music and the audience reply by saying its big, and my God, now It?s Big is now?? she answered.
Ghana Music.Com asked her how she got into TV and the entertainment sector. ?I used to host a programme called Talk Ghana at TV3, now been hosted by Janet Narh. So when a call came from the entertainment department of TV3 came for a new musical show called Music Music, I was called for an audition, which I declined because if Paa Kwesi Ackom, Director/Producer of Music Music knew I was good for the show then why auditioning me. And lucky for me the following week I was on the show with huge man, Bola Ray of Joy FM?, she said.
Asked about the format of Music Music, ?she said the show normally starts with artistes or cultural performances opening the show. Then the presenters come in to welcome the audience. They then introduce the feature or main artiste to perform after that there is an automatic break. When they come back she links over to her co-presenter for the ?Star Chatter? section ? where the co-presenter and a times the audience get to know the in and out of the main artiste.?
?Jokes Corner? follows up after the Star Chatter where Ghana?s funniest presenters host this section. Papa Sly and Koo Fori appearance will only make you laugh your lungs out and slide out of your chair. These people always make sure they satisfy and entertain the audience and viewers at home with the best jokes.
Then the ?New Discovery? section is up next and has to be a musician new to the music scene and making waves in the media. Those who dress well are not left out, they are well rewarded by their sponsors and donors.?
After the awarding of the best dressed, the main artiste closes the programme with his last performance,? she gave this as the format of Music Music.
Some of the artistes that she has been privileged to have a chit chat on the programme are Charles Amoah, Slim Busterr, George Darko, Shasha Marley, Akosua Busia and many more.
Stacy says Bola Ray is like a big brother to her who is very understandable, nice talking to and lastly is that they click a lot.
Stacy is Aquarius born on the 8th February to Madam Selina Boateng and Mr James Mensah. She is a proud Nananom who from there proceeded to College Protestant.
For records, Stacy is the Executive Director of BHG Productions, an advertising agency, PR for Emklan Entertainment and the events co-coordinator for Lumba Productions. Wow! She is indeed a woman of so many areas.
Stacy has vivid interest in cooking, clubbing, no wonder she is a good dancer, baby sitting, touring, scripting writing and writing poems.
Stacy intends to go somewhere with her TV thing and I quote her ?I would like to work with Black Entertainment Television (BET), Music TV (MTV), MNET and British Broadcast Corporation she said in a smiley mood.?
Her future ambition is to work the world?s biggest TV station in the next five years.
