It's bad luck to wear Indian hair - Ajagurajah

Founder and leader of the Ajagurajah Movement, Bishop Kwabena Asiamah, also known as Ajagurajah, has warned women against using wigs and hair extensions sourced from women from other countries.

Speaking on Hitz FM on April 2, 2024, he claimed that using such products brings bad luck to the user.

According to him, there are spiritual processes involved in extracting such hair from women, and using these hairs would attract negativity.

He blamed the situation on Africans' preference for foreign products and a lack of appreciation for their natural hair.

"If you're the type to go for Indian hair, you are putting bad luck on yourself. Indian women hardly cut their hair. They only do that when there's something wrong. When the priests cut the hair of these women in India, they transfer all those problems into the hair.

"But they know the African mindset; they know we like hair from other countries, and we go for it,” he added.

He further advised women to appreciate their natural hair and avoid using extensions and wigs made from hair sourced from other countries.
