For a father who cherishes his daughter so much, he would have wished the gathering were to celebrate her success than unveil clothes for her funeral but sadly, that was not the case.

“It’s unfortunate we are here today not for anything, to launch funeral clothes of my daughter, the queen, Ebony. How said it is” said the ‘teary’ father.

“It’s very unfortunate if you ask me but I guess we have no option. We are here to launch the clothes, they are beautiful to see. You’ll admire them for sure. It is in to stay, so to speak. And we recommend that for every occasion, patronize so that Ebony will forever reign. It is your support that will make this come through” he said.

Nana Opoku Kwarteng pleaded with all to “patronize everything that is from the family, Bullet and co”, than pirated ones.

The family of Ebony together with RuffTown Records on Saturday unveiled three clothes for the final funeral rite of their beloved. The clothes were named after her songs, ‘Maame Hwe’ and ‘Aseda’.

While ‘Aseda’ is black and white, ‘Maame Hwe’ comes in two different colours.

Born Priscilla Opoku Kwarteng, Ebony died in a collision on the Sunyani-Kumasi highway while returning to Accra after visiting her mother in Sunyani in the Brong Ahafo Region.

The final funeral rites and burial service is expected to be held on March 24 at the forecourt of the State House, Accra.

RuffTown Records, in collaboration with the Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGA), Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture and Kasapreko Company Limited, will organise a tribute musical concert for her on Friday, March 23.

Some of the artistes billed to perform at the event include Sarkodie, Stonebwoy, VIP, R2Bees, Edem, Kofi Kinaata and Efya.
