If you ever thought it was wrong for Bola Ray, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Excellence in Broadcasting (EIB) to have spilt the company’s financial difficulties in public, there is a justification for his action.
Kofi Okyere Darko, who works at EIB’s radio station, Starr FM, has told Hitz FM in an interview that it was good Bola came out to let people know the challenges they have been through.
“I actually called Bola and told him that it was good that he came out to talk about that. It was an ice breaker because even some of our friends have things that they say in his absence. You know these things I mean there are people who will say when everything was rosy you were chilling. I’ve seen people writing stuff like he was buying these cars for some of your senior staff and not minding us down there so we had to leave you but it happens.
“Unless you’ve not owned a company before! We go through low and high times. It’s life. It’s not one straight line. You go through high and low times and things have turned around. We thank God for it,” he said in the interview.
A few days ago Bola Ray shared a story of how his company was hit with the financial crisis that left them unable to pay their workers.
He said, as a result, most of the workers left the company.
Kofi Okyere Darko is the late afternoon show host on Starr FM.
