The Nation's finest radio last Saturday proved it is the best radio station to tune into when it virtually brought Accra to its feet with the 2004 edition of its Old School's Re-union programme.
More than ten thousand people converged at the avaition social centre to participate in the annual programme that has been running since 1999.
Activities at the event took off at around 11am and there was no stopping till about 7pm when the organisers had to plead earnestly with the large crowd to leave for their homes.
Almost every school was represented at the event with the various alumini of the various universities present to represent their halls of residence when they were students.
Participation was great in all the events.
From the jama competition to the five-a-side footbal competition right on to the tug of war to the Ideal Milk sponsored gari soakings, the Starkist sponsored gari solid.
So large was the crowd that the organisers at some point had to stop some of the activities.
In the Tug of war contest, almost every school wanted to participate thus at a point it became chaoitic so the organisers called it off after about twelve school had taken their turns.
The basket ball competition could not even come on because the people won't leave the court for it.
The music was great with JOY FM's finest, DJ Black, Bola Ray, Kwesi Anim Agyei, Komla Dumor, Doreen Andoh, and Tema-based Adom FM' Abeiku Santana in control.
At a point it appeared buses were dropping people at the event grounds judging from the number that was trooping in.
Most of the people JoyNews spoke to were full of praise for the work done by the organisers of the show.
Some even suggested a change in venue judging from the number that attended the event.
The school?s reunion is an annual event instituted by JOY FM to bring together old students of various secondary schools in Ghana to relive their school days.
For several weeks ahead of Saturday?s event, representatives of the various schools had been giving a taste of what to expect at the aviation social centre when they appeared in the studios of JOY FM.
