BUSY Ghana’s e-learning portal, JUMP, has picked up an honorary award at the 2017 edition of the Ghana Startup Awards organized by the African Network of Entrepreneurs held in Accra.
The award was in recognition of the efforts by JUMP, an e-learning platform developed by Ghana’s leading 4G internet service provider, BUSY to develop the entrepreneurship ecosystem in the country.
“We celebrate JUMP for providing an educational content driven portal that enhances E-learning and entrepreneurship among Ghanaian youth and providing resourceful articles on business for startups and budding entrepreneurs”, the citation read.
Youth Programme Manager at Busy Ghana, Joyce Danso who received the award on behalf of the team expressed excitement about the achievement.
“We are really excited about this feat. JUMP will continue to provide great content to inspire and motivate Ghanaian youth.” she said.
Ms. Danso also congratulated organizers of the Ghana Startup Awards for their initiative aimed at giving Ghanaian startups exposure, recognition and support through the awards ceremony.
Editor of the Entrepreneurship Category of Jump, Daryl Kwawu described the award as a great motivator.
“It’s reassuring to know that we are making such a big impact in the lives of young people. We are encouraged as a team to continue to reach out to the millions of youth out there with content that would inspire greatness in them”, he added.
As part of its youth empowerment initiative, BUSY launched the JUMP e-learning portal in March 2017 with four main categories, Education, Entrepreneurship, Lifestyle and Entertainment and Self-Improvement. It has since introduced on the platform Jump Music, where young talented artists are showcased; and Jump Academy, where students can view lecture notes and videos on a range of courses from Ghanian university lecturers.
