Japanese ambassador’s judo, kendo, karate championship set to ignite Japan Week 2019

His Excellency the Japanese Ambassador to Ghana Mr. Tsutomo Himeno has expressed high hopes of sporting fiesta in this year’s judo karate and kendo championships slated for the Accra Sports stadium this weekend.

The Japanese Ambassador was of the view that this year’s Japan week celebrations would be unique and will showcase pure Japanese culture and tradition.

He recounted the exploits of past athletes in the Japanese martial arts who gave excelled in one way or the other.

The event will feature the various Japanese sports in Judo, Karate and Kendo this weekend at the Hathiramani Hall of the Accra sports stadium.

The championships will precede the main attraction of the Japan week celebrations which will take place on the 16th of November 2019 at the police fitness center, Police headquarters, Accra.

The affable Japanese diplomat believes that the expansion of the martial arts sport will help promote self defense and self respect practice at all times. In recent years the Japanese combat sports has attracted the eyeballs of many Ghanaians far and beyond.

The judo, Karate and Kendo championships will usher into sight the Japan week celebrations commencing from the 9th -16th November 2019 at the police fitness center, police headquarters, Accra.
