Ghana is set to receive one of the world’s finest Hip Hop superstars for a historic concert. Jay Z is live in Ghana.
The Accra International Conference Centre is expected to be thronged on October 6 by tons of music lovers who will witness the best of Jay Z and his star musician lover Beyonce.
Jay Z will arrive in Ghana in his private jet with his 30 man crew on the 4th October inclusive his boys from Rocca Wear and Def Jam Records. As part of his pilgrimage, he will be commissioning some projects on behalf of the UN across Africa and in Ghana.
Africa has in the past seven years become a hot destination for international musical concerts with artistes featuring more in Southern and Eastern Africa. In West Africa, Ghana and Nigeria have become the ultimate venues for eclectic shows featuring international chart toppers, the likes of Shaggy, Boyz 2 Men, Kevin Lyttle, Wayne Wonder, Akon, Bennie Man and others.
Increasingly there is a constant thirst for more, as fans are more willing than ever to experience the wave of excitement these shows bring along.
Charter House, Ghana’s leading event Management Company and the local organizers of the event say the purpose for hosting Jay Z is to expose Ghanaian music lovers and the music industry at large to international artistes and international standards of musical concerts and artistes’ performance.
Sharing the international stage with Jay Z are some of Ghana’s best artistes; Batman Reggie Rockstone, Obrafuo, Wutah, Ofori Amponsah and Irene & Jane of Stars of the Future.
Events of this scale happen in Ghana once a while and thus patronage is exceedingly high. Tickets will start selling from next week at a rate of ¢1,000,000 ($110) and ¢600,000 ($65).
