Jayso reveals why rappers brag

Skillions Records boss Jayso was on RyseNShyne with Akosua Hanson to talk about rap music.

Answering a question about rappers and their ego and bragging Jayso explained;

“Hip Hop music is about bragging. It necessarily doesn’t have to be that way, but there’s rap which embodies the music and there’s Hip Hop which capture the culture of clothing and lifestyle and attitude. Talking about what you have and all but it depends on the individual who is doing the rap.

"I wouldn’t expect every rapper to come and talk about what they have. It’s a big issue but not so big, it’s a preference. If you want to rap about what you have that’s fine because that rapper might be doing it to inspire others to work hard. But I’m non-swearing MC and even off the mic I hardly Use swear words.”
