Kade, April 21, GNA - Adzo Dogbe, an unemployed woman who attacked and wounded another woman who had gone to deliver a message to her boyfriend, has been sentenced to a fine of GHC 300 by the Kade magistrate court.

Adzo, who pleaded guilty will, in default, serve 12 months imprisonment in hard labour. Police Inspector Francis Cobbina, prosecuting, told the court presided over by Mr Kwaku Baah-Frimpong, that Akua Dansua, a trader resident at Anweam, visited Kade. He said on her return, she decided to visit a sister-in-law at Damang and was given a message to deliver to someone there. The prosecutor said when Dansua arrived at a house to deliver the message, Adzo who was by then in the house and who was a girlfriend to the one to receive the message, suspected that Dansua was befriending her lover.

She engaged Dansua in exchange of words and inflicted a wound on her forehead with a cutlass. Dansua was rescued and rushed to the Kade Government Hospital where she was treated and discharged. A report was later lodged with the police and Adzo was arrested. 21 April 09
