Veteran Journalist, Kwesi Pratt Jnr has described award-winning gospel musician Joe Mettle as man whose honesty and humility is incredible.
According to him, he’s pleasantly surprised at the musician level of honesty, adding that, this virtue must be emulated by all Ghanaians.
Joe Mettle who picked up 3 awards at the just-ended 2018 VGMAs has revealed that another song was more deserving of the ‘Gospel Song of the Year’ at the 2018 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards because his song, ‘Bo Noo Ni’ was less popular.
According to the musician, Patience Nyarko’s hit song, ‘Obi Nyane Me’ was by far, more popular than his worship song which featured Luigi Maclean but explained that he won that category because his numerous fans voted him.
Commenting on the development on Peace FM, the Managing Editor of the Insight Newspaper described Joe Mettle as unique and must be commended for his sincerity.
“I’ve seen it widely reported in the Newspapers that Joe Mettle has admitted that Patience Nyarko’s song was more popular than his and that, that song should have won the award. I’ve never heard such sincerity in my life. He’s acknowledged that someone else was more deserving of the award.
His sincerity is incredible, I don’t know him but what he’s done is worth commending, his humility has stunned me. He’s really earned my respect, he’s indeed unique.”
