2020 elections is just few months away, hence politicians have intensified their campaign strategies. Although these political parties' campaigns are guided by manifestoes, some politicians go out of their ways to relate to the ordinary people in order to win hearts hence votes.
Using all forms of methods to woo voters, Ghanaian actor-turned-politician John Dumelo, who hopes to be a Member of Parliament for Ayawaso West Wuogon constituency on the ticket of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has resorted to leaving a mark in the hearts of voters in his constituency.
In photos posted on his social media platforms, the NDC parliamentary candidate is seen braiding the hair of one female student on University of Ghana main campus and pounding fufu on his door-to-door campaign in his constituency.
Ever since he announced his political career, the actor has engaged in several things solely for winning the hearts of voters.
In October 2019, he was sighted on the streets of Accra pushing what is commonly known as ‘borla’ truck during a cleanup exercise.
Through his foundation, he pays the school fees of some needy but brilliant students at the university.
