John Dumelo shows his true Ewe heritage as he buys Banku in the Volta Region

Banku, they say, is the food of life and no one believes this better than actor, farmer, and entrepreneur John Dumelo.

Like the proud Volta man he is, John Dumelo spent his Sunday grabbing a full meal of Banku with Okro soup from a food joint in the Volta Region.

In a photo via his Instagram page, Dumelo is seen purchasing his meal and captions the post “Sunday blues…. #locafood #organic.” The photo was even more interesting, as the next customer in line could not hide his shock at seeing John Dumelo purchasing food at the local joint.

John Dumelo has been on the all-organic Ghanaian produce train, since he started his own farming venture recently. During this year’s celebration of Farmer’s Day, the actor expressed his appreciation to farmers across the country, especially those he has worked with, for their dedication and service to the nation.

“To all the farmers I’ve worked with directly or indirectly across the country and to all Farmers In Ghana, I say Ayekoo! Together let’s make Ghana proud! Happy farmers day! #melofarmer#Ghanaianfarmer,” he wrote.
