They will ask the most relevant and sometimes tricky questions; they will probe, they will sieve and most importantly select only the very best among the lot. So even before you leave your homes, meet the search panel for Miss Malaika Ghana Season 16 as unveiled by pageant producers, Charterhouse Productions.
Joselyn Dumas
Many probably would not know that on the end credits of the episodes of Miss Malaika Ghana that aired between 2008 and 2010, she was credited, “Co-Producer”.
Joselyn Canfor-Dumas is a Ghanaian television host, entrepreneur and a multiple award-winning actress. She has hosted some of the biggest events in Ghana including the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards, the maiden edition of 3 Music Awards, Golden Movie Awards and a host of others.
Joselyn is currently the host of a new TV talk show ‘@Home with Joselyn Dumas’ which is aired across Africa and parts of Europe. She is also the brand ambassador of Range Rover Evoque Ghana and Jobberman Ghana. She joins the search panel with a great deal of knowledge and understands the fears and tension that may grip every young lady who takes the stage to audition. Oh by the way, you might want to look the part because Jocelyn has a special interest in style.
Naa Ashorkor
In November 2016, Naa Ashorkor Mensah-Doku was named among a prestigious list of the 100 top most influential women in Ghana. She has hosted a lot of prominent events, including the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards, Miss Malaika Ghana, Exclusive Men of the Year (EMY) Awards, etc. She is a talented actress, events, radio and TV host with a wealth of experience and is currently the host of showbiz A-Z and Strong & Sassy on Joy FM.
Aside her role as head of PR at Ideal Finance Company, Naa is also an entrepreneur and CEO of April Communications which specializes in a number of projects including top theatre productions. As a judge, her interest in this pageant goes a little past the face and figure. Naa Ashorkor believes strongly that every queen must be abreast of the happenings around her, focused and somewhat acquainted with everyday issues. Her familiarity to the Malaika brand, panache and a strong faith in female empowerment, makes her an apt panel member for the search.
James Gardiner
He was born James Timothy Gardiner, an award winning Ghanaian actor, voice over artiste, radio and tv presenter, event host, and entrepreneur. He attended St. Augustine’s senior high and the University of Cape Coast where he acquired a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Philosophy. James started work at multimedia broadcasting limited (Joy and Hitz FM) in 2009 and later hosted ‘Tyme Out’ on TV3 where he hooked fans up with their favorite celebrities. He has starred in various movies in both Ghana and Nigeria including, The C.E.O, The Groom’s Bride, Nkuli The Mask, Candle in The Wind and a lot more. He will be the Mr. nice and calm judge, asking the ladies about their hobbies, talents, favorites etc. He joins the search panel with a lot of humor, creativity and style.
