Joy FM launches Bridal Fair

Accra, July 6, GNA - The Management of Joy FM, an Accra private radio station, on Tuesday launched a bridal fair to educate people on how to plan and perform their weddings without going through avoidable stress.

The fair, scheduled to take off from July 16 to 18, would create a platform for various exhibitors in the fashion industry to showcase their products to the public to help them make the best decisions for their weddings.


Mr Komla Dumor, Operations Manager of Joy FM, who announced this at a media launch in Accra, said over 35 exhibitors that dealt in jewellery, flowers, pastries, textiles, wedding gowns, suits, books on marriages and courtships, invitation cards, food and cosmetics would participate in the fair to be held at the National Theatre in Accra. Decorators, Florists, Beauty Therapists, Cosmetologists from 2nd Image Beauty and Hair Academy, one of the main sponsors of the fair, Cake Tekniks, FC Beauty Klinik, Sleek Cosmetics, Fredina Tours, Body Talk and Combert Impressions, another major sponsor, would participate in the fair.

He said the fair, which was first organized in 2001 would be made an annual event on the calendar of the Radio Station to afford would-be marriage couples the opportunity to learn more about wedding programmes. He said as part of the fair, seminars on cost-cutting, honeymoon ideas, wedding organizational checklist and legal issues would be held for visitors, who would patronize the fair, which would be free.
