For years now, highlife artiste Kwabena Kwabena has managed to win the hearts of many females through his music, which has gained him the tag, “The Lady’s Man”.
He has inked his name not just in the heart of Ghanaians who enjoy secular music but also in the minds of most Ghanaian female gospel musicians including Ohemaa Mercy, Obaapa Christy, Selina Boateng and Joyce Blessing.
The queen of gospel music, Ohemaa Mercy in an interview with Sokohemaa on Rainbow Radio in Accra not long ago mentioned the “Adult Music” hitmaker as the only secular artiste she would love to work with.
Selina Boateng in a separate interview with Nana Romeo on Accra FM weeks ago also named Kwabena Kwabena as her favourite secular artiste due to his choice of lyrics.
“Hyebre Sesafo” singer and 2016 VGMAs nominee, Obaapa Christy on Accra FM’s Gospel 360 entertainment show also disclosed she would gladly accept to perform at any concert with the artiste known in real life as George Kwabena Adu without thinking twice.
The latest female gospel musician to express her affection for the KBKB Music artiste is Joyce Blessing. The “Monko Mo Akyi” singer in a chat with Nana Romeo on Accra FM also touched on why these female gospel musicians would love to work with the “Aso” singer.
“I love Kwabena Kwabena, I mean I love highlife songs. It is not only the girls who love Kwabena Kwabena. They all have reasons they listen to him. If you listen to his style of singing, it makes sense so it is good to listen to somebody like that” Joyce Blessing told Nana Romeo on Accra FM’s mid-morning show
