The much advertised Vodafone Ghana Music Awards Celebration Jam came off successfully at the Independence Square over the weekend.
The event saw some wonderful performances from Ghana’s finest musicians who thrilled the thousands of fans who had thronged the venue to have a good time.
The jam, sponsored by Vodafone Ghana, had on its bill Sarkodie, Samini, Kuami Eugene, MzVee, Stonebwoy, KiDi, Kwesi Arthur, Strongman, Patapaa, Joyce Blessing as well as some underground artistes, pulled a huge crowd.
One of the artistes who put up a spectacular performance was gospel artiste Joyce Blessing.
Dressed in a classy ‘agbada’ top and down with a hat to match, Joyce blessing starting her performance on a very high note, singing most of her hit songs including ‘I swerve’, her newest single.
The energetic musician accompanied her performance with powerful dance moves and carried her fans along throughout her performance.
Other artistes that excelled on the night included Stonebwoy who performed hits songs including, Run Go, Bawasawa, Dirty Enemies, Hero, My Name and others. The BhimNation President had a wonderful night with his fans.
Arguably one of the popular musicians, the crowd was already singing to his popular song, ‘Tomorrow’ before he started performing.
Sarkodie also shined on the night. Even though he came later than expected he got the large crowd screaming on top of their voices when he started his performance with ‘Revenge of Spartans’.
He continued his performance with popular songs like ‘Original, Push, Burger, Baby, and one of the biggest songs off the “Highest” album, titled “Glory” featuring Yung L.
The 2018 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards Celebration concert was held to officially close the chapter on this year’s awards.
