Joyce Dzidzor Nartey set to release her true life story “My Cross Roads” featuring John Dumelo, Ekow Smith, Vicky Zugah and Benjamin Kwadey HIV Ambassador, Joyce Dzidzor Nartey is set to release her true life story made into a movie on August 31 at the Alisa Hotel in Accra. The public showing comes off at the National Theatre on October 4.
The sole aim of the movie titled “My Cross Roads” is to intensify education and to compliment governments’ effort to sensitize the public of the dangers of the disease. It is also to strengthen education on premarital sex and the dangers involved.
Joyce who is HIV positive said, “Growing up from a very poor background, I discovered my love for music and dance. I was very ambitious, passionate about my dancing skills. All effort to get help to go to school proved futile. I was vulnerable, most times raped. I had to attend all kinds of events in my neighbourhood to exhibits my dancing skills. In my case there was no one to confide in. I hawked all kinds of things to make ends meet.”
She said in her effort to make a living she contacted the deadly HIV, in which she has preached ever since she was diagnosed. Joyce has participated in seminars, workshops and schools telling her story on how she contacted the HIV.
Dzidzor is also a backup singer and has backed top Ghanaian musicians in her quest to make a profession.

After the Executive and Public Showings, the movie will be shown in selected Second Cycle Institution in the country.
