Ace radio personality and fashion icon, Kofi Okyere Darko popularly called KOD, stirred controversy when he suggested that John Dumelo chose a quiet and submissive Gifty Mawunya Nkornu over the known female celebs who have been ‘all over the place.’
A portion of his comment states, “Got me wondering why most men in the public eye settle for quiet/unknown women and not the ones all over. That could be a lesson for some of our sisters ooo. Men want women who can make a home and not be all over.”
However, his seemingly harmless comment provoked lot of female celebrities, especially the single ones; spearheaded by Yvonne Okoro. The issue was picked up by controversial Ghanaian blogger, Chris Vincent Febiri and as usual, he added more petrol to the blazing fire.
Obviously the offended female celebs had wanted an opportunity for more clarification on the subject when they finally meet at John Dumelo’s traditional wedding but surprisingly KOD did not turn up.
Was he afraid that Yvonne and her cohorts were waiting for him for more ‘biegya?’ No one could tell until KOD himself recorded a video of himself explaining why he couldn’t make it.
He said:
Cheers to the women who made it to my brother John Dumelo’s wedding. Unfortunately, I could not make it because we are having a shoot at home for my sister in law. She is outdooring her new collection next week.
