Kofi Okyere Darko popularly known as “KOD” has bemoaned the alarming rate of children living on the streets of cities and towns in the country.

According to the radio personality, it is about time authorities took steps to arrest the situation, stressing that failure to do so could have dire consequences in future.

KOD made the clarion call on his Instagram page.

To him, if drastic measures are not adopted to provide shelter and education for these children most of them would grow up to become burdens on the state.

“We can't ignore these little ones on our streets! This is our future... if we don't take care of these ones today, we can't handle the consequences in 10,15 or 20 years.

“But then again, what do we do with the ones who are not from our native country? It's tough,” he wrote on his page.
