Kwaku Sintim-Misa (KSM) has announced a return onto the comedy stage about four years after he has been missing in action.
On Friday, December 7, he is staging his return show dubbed ‘KSM Unchained’.
The upcoming show is being described as one of the most anticipated events in December ahead of Christmas.
The event will come off the Ghana National Theatre with a number of dignitaries on the guest list.
KSM, who turns 62 on December 5, described his upcoming performance as birthday present to the audience.
“The greatest de-stressing prescription in that the country needs. It will be 62 minutes of high voltage comedy. My goal is to let everyone at the theater experience what I call an entertainment orgasm,” he said.
Asked what ‘Unchained’ is about, he explained it as “a stream of thought provoking ingredients cooked in a pot of comedy.”
It is very significant that KSM is using this performance to honour playwright Ebo Whyte.
He described Ebo Whyte as the most accomplished and prolific Ghanaian playwright in recent history.
“For me, it is an honour to dedicate this performance to someone I consider a national asset.”
KSM’s love for the youth is evident in the two warm-up acts before the show. He is featuring Flowkin Stone, Daddy Opanka and Kojo Dwamena as the opening acts.
The December 7 show is the comeback of an entertainment maestro whose impact on the comedy scene in Ghana is unmatched. His last stage show was about four years ago, but he is back now to fill the vacuum he created.
