KUMASI CHOIRS UNION

The Union of the principal Church Choirs of the Christian Council and the Catholic Secretariat in Kumasi was inaugurated at the Wesley Methodist chapel, Adum, Kumasi recently under the theme: "For ye are all one in Jesus Christ" (Gal. 3:28).

According to the President of the Union, Mr. A.W. Brobbey the idea of the formation of the union was conceived by the late Asantehene, Otumfuo Sir Osei Agyemang Prempeh II in 1968 who believed that the Choirs could effectively worship and sing praises to God if they came together.

Since the enthronement of Otumfuo Opoku Ware II as Asantehene in succession of his late uncle, he has been giving encouragement and support to the Union.
