Ghanaian comic actor Richard Asante, better known as Kalybos, has clarified that, contrary to public speculation, there is no animosity between him and comedian Funny Face.
He explained that his once-close relationship with Funny Face has loosened due to past events that have influenced his decisions regarding friendships.
Kalybos emphasised that life experiences have taught him to carefully select his friends to avoid complications.
In a discussion with Onua FM and monitored by GhanaWeb, the actor mentioned that his rapport with Funny Face is not as cordial as publicly perceived.
During the interview, host Felicia Osei remarked, "You've had male friends in the industry, but it seems some bonds aren't as strong as before, like with Funny Face."
To which Kalybos replied, "It's not that we're no longer friends. Certain situations toughen you, and not everyone who enters your life is meant to stay. It's best not to cling to what should not remain. We haven't met recently, but certain events reveal who should be near you. So, there's no tension."
Recalling an incident, Funny Face had accused Kalybos in a live video of pursuing a woman he had been involved with.
Kalybos responded to this claim, stating he's puzzled by the accusation, as he wouldn't consider being involved with a woman associated with Funny Face.*
He recounted how his fiancée jokes about the claim, which he asserts is baseless.
Kalybos urged the public to ignore Funny Face, admitting he's uncertain about the root of Funny Face's issues.
It is worth noting that this issue happened before Kalybos tied the knot recently.
