Tema, Aug. 13, GNA- The Tema Circuit Court 'B' has granted 50 million cedis bail to a salesman of Kasapreko/Kasa Global Ventures charged with embezzling 61.141,679 cedis belonging to his employers. John Teye pleaded not guilty and will reappear on August 18, 2003. Chief Inspector Alice Gyamfi told the court that in March 2002, when the financial records of the company were audited, it was detected that 115,597,080 cedis could not be accounted for by the accused. She said a report was made to the police and Teye was arrested to help in investigations.

The prosecutor said investigations showed that an additional 7,138,880 cedis being the value of a quantity of bottles involved was also missing, adding up to 122.735,880 million cedis. Inspector Gyamfi said the police recovered 62 million cedis. 13 Aug. 03
