Kelvinboy and Mark Okreku Mantey
Burniton Music Group artiste, Kelvyn Boy has sincerely expressed regret for using a line of Oheneba Kissih’s ‘Asen Ben Ni’ song in his single, ‘Na You’ unlawfully.
The fast-rising singer apologized to Mark Okraku Mantey, producer of the ‘Asem Ben Ni’ song on Hitz FM Wednesday morning after Zionfelix.net reported that the Slip Music boss was not ecstatic about his decision to use a line of a song he produced for commercial purpose without seeking for permission.
Mark who made his intention to prompt the singer over the illicit act known on Hitz FM made it clear that he did not need his cash but just wanted recognition.
Kelvyn Boy in the interview with Andy Dosty on Hitz FM following Zionfelix.net‘s publication admitted his mistake and asked the music producer to forgive him.
Explaining why he used words of Oheneba Kissih’s tune in his song which features his label boss, Stonebwoy, the 2018 VGMAs unsung artiste disclosed that he liked the verse of the legendary highlife artiste hence his decision to add it in his ‘Na You’ single.
Asked why he did not contact the owner of the song or his producer, Mark Okreku Mantey for permission, Kelvyn Boy replied Andy that he saw no need because it was just some few words of the song but not instrumentals, rhythm or sampling of the full song.
