Dr Arthur Kobina Kennedy, the new man with new ideas and new attitudes, has taken his message of change, hope and renewal to NPP Executives in the Volta Region.

During a tour that took the campaign to 19 of the 22 constituencies in the region from June 29th to July 2nd, Dr Kennedy urged the party to be optimistic because “help is on the way”. In constituency after constituency, the man from Central region who was born in the Volta Region was welcomed as a native son.

He told the Executives that he will focus on job-creation, fighting the culture of lawlessness and indiscipline and improving our healthcare system. In response to questions, he pledged to make better collaboration between the party and the government the Centerpiece of his administration and urged the party to embrace change. He said Ghana needs a new leader whose vision is centered in the middle of this new century, not one with a vision fixed on the middle of the last century.

In Ho and Hohoe, former associates from Dr Kennedy’s student days praised his courage and vision as a student-leader and urged the party to embrace his candidacy. This has been the trend throughout the tour of all the regions.

The tour of Volta Region brings to nine the number of Regions visited by Dr Kennedy. He will complete the regional tours next week in the Eastern Region.
