Kenpong Supports Miss Tourism

Kenpong Group of companies, one of the fastest growing business entities in the country, has thrown its financial weight behind the winner of Miss Tourism 2013, Jessica Jamila Kwara.

The project, code named ‘Jessi Kwara Foundation’ (JKF), primarily is to help the beauty queen embark on her campaign which is being launched today at the Holiday Inn in Accra.

The campaign, on the theme ‘Saving the environment through recycling’, seeks to promote domestic tourism through a clean and healthy environment in the ten regions of the country, and to help create jobs for the youth in Ghana, among others.

Group Chairman, Kenpong Group of Companies, Kennedy ‘Cappuccino’ Agyapong, who is currently on an international assignment, touring Europe and America, said in a telephone interview that the support was to empower the queen to achieve her project objectives.

“We at Kenpong believe in supporting the community we operate in, and especially the youth to realise their full potentials. We decided to support her because we realised her project was a laudable one which, if implemented, will go a long way not only to save our environment, but will provide employment for the youth,” Mr Agyapong said.

The queen, Jessica Jamila Kwara, expressed profuse thanks to Kenpong Travels and the general Kenpong Group for the support saying, “I am touched and most grateful for the financial backing. It will indeed help me pursue this laudable project.”

Expected to grace today’s launch is the Okyenhene, Amoatia Oforipanin, and other high profile personalities.

Kenpong Group, in the past, has supported countless individuals and groups like the Black Stars, Black Princesses for qualifying for the women’s World Cup, Asante Kotoko, Retired Footballers Association, etc.
