Khareema Aguiar mad over "bullshit"

News-One on Sunday evening called actress Khareema Aguiar to congratulate her on her nomination for City People’s upcoming awards in August.

But the beautiful actress did not sound like the usual amiable and outgoing person that she is known to be. She sounded angry with someone. However, she refuses to mention what exactly was bothering her.

“I’m excited about the award but as I’m speaking to you now, I am really really pissed off. Somebody in the industry has really pissed me off. People you call your friends go about saying all kind of things about you. It is a bullshit thing in the industry. It is not fair. There is plenty of backbiting and I don’t think those people doing that are focused and responsible. If they are responsible and think about themselves, they will not go about saying trash about me,” she said angrily.

“Charlie, I will tell you what it is or whom I am talking about, if I find it necessary to talk about again. Right now I am really pissed off. Some of us have children and better things to think about and not …if they are responsible they wouldn’t be doing that,” Khareema said.

“I will think about it and get back to you if I want to comment it,” she added.

News-one is investigating to find out Khareema’s friends in the industry who are involved this backbiting business.

The tall sexy eye actress has been nominated for Best Supporting Actress in the City People Awards, alongside Naa Ashorkor Doku, Martha Ankomah and Beverly Afaglo.

That is the second time she has been nominated for a best supporting actress category but her first for City People Awards. She was first nominated at the last Ghana Movie Awards, which was won by Nadia Buari.

The award ceremony is scheduled for Lekki, a plush area in Nigeria on August 7. There is also a tall list of other Ghanaian named to be at the ceremony.

Khareema had her screen debut appearance in TV series ‘All That Glitters’ in 2005. Since then, she has not looked back. The mother of one currently has a number of movies to her credit including Shirley Frimpong Manso’s Checkmate’.

Khareema is passionate about the aged. Hence in 2010, she celebrated her birthday with the inmates of Help Age Ghana at Osu in Accra with a four-day event characterized with free health screening for the inmates, NHIS registration, beauty makeover and a party.

Born into a family of seven children, she lost her parents at a tender age. So Khareema grew up living with her aunt and husband whom she considered as parents but unfortunately she lost the aunt too.

Khareema sees old age as a divine gift and always calls on philanthropists to support the aged as everybody will one day get there.
