Contemporary music maestro, King Ayisoba Saturday, February 3, 2018, mounted the stage at Alliance Française Accra with thrilling performances for the 4th edition of the ”Batakari Night” concert.

Born and raised in Bongo-Soe, in Upper East Region of Ghana, King Ayisoba learned to play the Kologo (a traditional two-stringed guitar) at a tender age.

King Ayisoba’s throaty passionate voice belts out words of wisdom while he plucks his Kologo to a skank beat, making him a very alternative character whose shows are always fantastic and memorable.

Special artistes who were present to support the Batakari Night concert were Atongo Zimba, Wiyaala, Kwaw Kese, Yaa Pono, Wazumbians, Juan among others.

The 'Batakari Night' concert is aimed at promoting the Northern Ghanaian smock, also known as ‘Fugu’. The concert featured an exhibition and sale of Batakari and other traditional items from Northern Ghana.

King Ayisoba has produced a number of striking songs and is known particularly for one of his popular songs, ‘I Want to See You My Father’
