The township of Teshie Nungua in Accra was on Saturday brought to a standstill with unstoppable performances from Ghanaian artiste King Promise and his "friends".

The anticipation was high and patrons could not wait any longer for the show to begin, little did they expect to go for the best ride of their lives.

The "thanksgiving" concert which filled the Nungua Authority Park with over a thousand music lovers saw patrons shouting and screaming for more from Quamina MP, La Meme Gang, and a host of others.

The show was warmed up with performances from young up-and-coming talented artistes from Ashiaman, Osu, and Nungua.

The "Abena" and “Odo” hitmaker, King Promise, erupted the show with awesome performances, thrilling music lovers with some of his old hit tracks before performing the ones on his album.

The atmosphere went "crazy and on fire" when Quamina MP, Tinny, Medikal, and Mr Eazi took turns to perform, serving the enthusiastic fans with back to back doses of their hit songs that kept them cheering and screaming.

From the first act, Kryme to the last act, King Promise, the artistes entertained the crowd to the fullest despite technical challenges.

The night saw performances from Fameye, Kryme, Funny Face, Joey B, and many others.

The concert is, among other objectives, to give back to the Nungua community where King Promise is from, and also let the street have a feel of his new album.

Titled ‘As Promised’, the album was released on July 2019 on several streaming platforms. Before that, there was a screening session for the album, which has been endorsed by most of the country’s music connoisseurs as a great album.

The 14-track-album features celebrated musicians such as Kojo Antwi, Wizkid, Sarkodie, Mugeez, Simi, Omar Sterling and Raye.
