Artiste, King Promise
Ghanaian musician, King Promise has expressed his gratitude to his fans for their support throughout the year, particularly during his nomination for the Artiste of the Year category at the 2024 Telecel Ghana Music Awards (TGMA).
He acknowledged that even though he did not win the highly sought-after Artiste of the Year award at the TGMA 2024, despite the overwhelming support, he remains optimistic about the future.
King Promise encouraged his fans to continue supporting Ghanaian music, emphasizing that it's not just about him, but about all the artistes who contribute to its global recognition.
"Love my Ghanaians, bro, everything!!! I'm thankful we're here!!! Let's go. It's Ghana to the world, not just KP to the world. I love my fans.
"You guys made this my best year yet, and nothing could change that!!! Stars no y3 baako baako 5," he wrote on X after his colleague, Stonebwoy, was declared Artiste of the Year.
The 'Terminator' hitmaker was the one predicted by some celebrities and entertainment pundits to win the Artiste of the Year. However, he missed out on the ultimate after winning 3 awards.
TGMA 2024
The TGMA was held at the Grand Arena of the Accra International Conference Centre on Saturday, June 1, 2024, where musicians were awarded for their works over the past year.
In March 2024, the Ghana Music Award Academy Board announced the nominees for the 25th TGMA, featuring categories such as Artiste of the Year, Record of the Year, Album of the Year, Song of the Year, and Best New Artist.
The Ghana Music Academy Board is composed of professionals from all sectors of the music industry, including recording artists, songwriters, producers, mixers, and engineers, ensuring a diverse and well-rounded judging panel.
