Media mogul, Abeiku Santana has proven that radio is not just about screaming on air, advertising products and giving information to the public.
The renowned broadcaster on Friday afternoon put smiles on the faces of the aged in the society.
The Okay FM drive time host with the help of the Founder and Leader of the United Renaissance Party – URP, Chuck Kofi Wayo welcomed a number of aged women in the studios of the Despite Group of Company owned radio station for a presentation.
The women who according to them have been forgotten in the society were given an undisclosed amount of money each for their upkeep.
Aside the cash, each of the women had a bag of rice and other items to take home. The women who were between 60 and 101 years shared their sorrowful stories at the presentation which was transmitted live on Okay FM’s drive time show hosted by Abeiku Santana.
Some of the old ladies we are told came from Eastern Region, Tema and other parts of Greater Accra Region to receive the items due to their poor state.
Kofi Wayo before the presentation had supported the donation with Gh2000. He again added GHC2000 after listening to the women share their ordeal in the studio.
