King Ayisoba has revealed his locally manufactured guitar called Kologo cured him of lameness as a child.
“When I was a child, I couldn’t walk at the age of three. A herbalist confronted my dad and asked him to give me a Kologo to play. After one month, I was up walking,” he told DJ Premier on Entertainment Capital on Accra FM.
Ayisoba would be spearheading this year’s Batakari night at Alliance Francaise on January 30 and February 7 at Bolgatanga.
The event is aimed at promoting the traditional northern attire – Batakari.
Artistes to perform on the night include Wanluv Kubolor, Kwaw Kese, Yaa Pono and some international singers from Holland.
There would also be a fashion show to promote Batakari on the night.
Ayisoba revealed to Accra FM that President John Mahama would be in attendance.
The ‘I want to see you my father’ singer advised Ghanaians to patronise the traditional batakari to help create employment for the youth.
