Hiplife musician, Kwame Asare Obeng, popularly known as A-Plus has described a journalist with Accra based TV3 as a fool and an idiot following comments the latter made about the presence of some security officials at his engagement ceremony over the weekend.

Komla Klutse, a reporter with one of the leading television stations in the country-TV3, in a Facebook post questioned why soldiers were serving as guards at the musician's traditional wedding.

A host of celebrities and dignitaries including Nathaniel Kwabena Adisi (Bola Ray), Nana Ama McBrown and Justice Oteng (Wei Ye Oteng) were present as the musician got engaged to long-time girlfriend and celebrity stylist, Akosua Vee.

A Facebook live video from the wedding grounds showed some security personnel (soldiers and police officers) maintain order while at the ceremony. Some of the soldiers were later seen dancing as the programme progressed. But the seemingly 'friendly' gesture appears to have courted the attention of a number of people including TV3's Komla Klutse. He wrote, "Soldiers serving as guards at A Plus wedding? Really."

But that Facebook post by the Journalist did not go down well with A-Plus who after responding to the message decided to back it with a Facebook live video in which he described Klutse as a fool and an idiot. A Plus in the said video also tags the Kanda-based television station as a Pro-NDC station that has allowed partisanship to affect its professional duties.

“Komla Klutse, you are a fool for making such comments. You are questioning the presence of soldiers at my wedding? When soldiers were guarding Ibrahim Mahama, was he the president of the country? Fool! Shallow-minded guy. So if I have a brother who is a soldier, a friend who is a soldier, he cannot attend my wedding? Have you ever seen a solider on duty dance before? You are not correct,” A Plus fumed.

Unexpected, as it may seem, this will not be the first time Mr Klutse is getting himself embroiled in a social media brawl. In January this year, he questioned former Foreign Affairs Minister, Hannah Tetteh, whether she knew what it took to report on conflict situations in response to the ex-minister's twitter post on why Ghanaian journalists had not reported on the conflict situation in The Gambia.

His post read, "You have the morals to ask such a silly question (with all due respect). Do you know what it takes to report on potential conflict situations across the world?". His comments were seen by many as disrespectful and one that ought to have led to his sanctioning by his media house.

Months earlier, Komla Klutse had been in yet another brawl with former director of communications at the presidency, Stan Xoese Dogbe after a post of his suggesting that the flagstaff house was going to be used for a zoo. A statement from the Flagstaff House Communications Bureau signed by Stanislav Xoese Dogbe accused Kaba of Asempa FM and Komla Klutse of TV3 of helping in the circulation of the false information that an amount of 1.2 million dollars had been secured for the construction of a zoo at the flagstaff house.
