Kurl Songx, the ‘Jennifer Lomotey’ hitmaker, has been served with a notice of Intention to Sue from a Krobo Youth Group called the Kloma Hengme, for using words they terms as offensive in the song against Krobo women.

The group’s legal counsel presented a letter to the artiste’s manager, David Kojo Kyei a.k.a Kaywa on Wednesday, with a list of demands they wanted fulfilled.

Their letter follows an earlier press statement released, where they demanded the song be edited to remove the section they found to be derogatory to the women of Krobo.

A lyric in the song, which also features rapper Sarkodie, says “Kr?b? nii baa papa a ahwene? da ne sisi. ?k?mfo An?kye de adwaman no ab? ne dua”. This apparently translates to “A good Krobo lady with beads around her waist.

Okomfo Anokye has cursed her with promiscuity,” which is a reference to an old story of the Ashanti priest Okomfo Anoyke cursing a group of Krobo girls after they had seen him naked by a river.

In the letter which was sighted by Cit FM, the group gave the artiste and his management one week to fulfill their list of demands or face legal action.

Among these demands include the removal of the lyrics the group found offensive or ban the song completely; a written letter of apology to the Chief and people of the Krobo Traditional Area for using defamatory words against them as well as issuing a full statement pledging to never repeat such actions again.

The group also demanded a compensation of GHC 2,000,000 to the people of Krobo for tarnishing their name.
