Fast-rising Ghanaian musician, Fameye has revealed how Kuami Eugene counselled him to change his style.

Speaking in an interview with Sky FM’s Ike Frimpong which was monitored by www.newshuntermag.com in Sunyani, the OGB Music artiste disclosed that Kuami Eugene advised him to do contemporary songs.

“Initially, I was doing only rap…then I got to Kuami Eugene and they advised about doing contemporary songs and mostly in Ghana, if you want a good contemporary song, I think you don't need a hardcore rap, I mean you can blend the two that's the singing and the rap so it goes well. So I started with mixing them…then had my first song with Kofi Kinaata which was Efia Buruwaa and the outcome was great, so I thought that well, I just have to keep on doing it and will get better as time goes on,” he said.

The ‘Nothing I Get’ composer stated that though he is doing more singing now; he will combine it with the rap.

He admitted that singing has given him rise in his musical career.

“I just started singing and realized I sing better, I didn't know then…my fans and those close to me made me feel like I sing better. Mostly I listen to myself, and listen to others and see. And so I listen to them and realized I sing better,” Fameye pointed out.
